Steel City in Photographs

With its hills and rivers and bright yellow bridges, Pittsburgh is a very photogenic city. I love photographing atop Mount Washington as much as anybody – that stunning skyline and panorama! – but there is so much more to Pittsburgh: the rose garden in Mellon Park, the gorgeous fall foliage of Frick and Schenley, the iron-black Hot Metal Bridge with its picturesque lamps, and the bright pop of the Roberto Clemente Bridge, to name just a few landmarks. The city’s neighborhoods also offer lots of colorful murals as backdrops, and if you know where to look, the riverfront parks hide incredibly romantic little nooks with great views. Here is a collection of my best Pittsburgh photos from spring, summer, fall, and winter in the Burgh. Enjoy!
